The service
The Daily Abstract delivers a daily curated email of new arXiv papers based on your filter. It is provided as-is, with no service-level guarantees. Delivery times may vary. The digest may be skipped or delayed if upstream services (arXiv, MyMemory, Brevo, Mailsac) are unavailable.
Cost
The basic service is free, forever. There are no plans to charge for it. If the project ever outgrows free-tier infrastructure, we may add a paid tier for power features — but the basic daily digest stays free.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no promises about the accuracy or completeness of the arXiv data, the translation quality, or the timeliness of delivery. We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on the contents of any edition.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Subscribe an email address you don't control.
- Use the service to bulk-scrape arXiv. (It already does that, once, for everyone.)
- Attempt to bypass the daily cap or rate limits.
- Reply with anything you wouldn't be comfortable seeing in an email.
Termination
You can unsubscribe at any time via the manage link or by replying STOP. We reserve the right to remove subscribers who abuse the service. If we shut the service down entirely (unlikely but possible — it's a hobby project), we will email a 7-day notice when feasible.
Open source
The entire stack is open source under the MIT license at github.com/f3r21/arxiv-digest. You are welcome and encouraged to self-host your own copy.
Governing law
No specific jurisdiction is asserted. Disputes, if any, will be handled informally between humans.
